OneGov launches AI-powered research platform for government affairs teams

OneGov has launched an AI-powered research platform aimed at helping government affairs teams accelerate legislative analysis, as organisations increasingly adopt artificial intelligence to support policy monitoring and regulatory research.

Legislative intelligence company OneGov has unveiled OneGov Pro, a premium version of its platform that combines AI-driven research with legislative tracking across all 50 US states and Congress.

The new offering is designed to reduce the time required to analyse legislation, prepare policy briefings and monitor regulatory developments.

The launch reflects growing interest in applying generative AI to government affairs, where policy teams face expanding volumes of legislation, committee activity and regulatory changes across multiple jurisdictions.

Among the new capabilities is Deep Research, which generates citation-backed responses to policy questions, and Policy Dossiers, which automatically produce detailed issue briefings. The platform also introduces AI Committee Intelligence, allowing users to search committee proceedings using natural language to identify emerging legislative trends and policy issues.

Additional features include monitoring of state statutes and administrative regulations, alerts for proposed rulemaking, tracking of lobbying activity and collaboration tools such as shared workspaces, scheduled reports and integrations with enterprise applications including Slack, Google Drive, Outlook, OneDrive, Claude and Codex.

OneGov, based in Austin, Texas, has also introduced Predictive Voting, a beta feature that uses historical voting records, district demographics and previous legislative behaviour to estimate how lawmakers may vote on proposed legislation.

The company said OneGov Pro is available as an optional per-seat upgrade, allowing organisations to deploy the enhanced research capabilities to selected members of their government affairs teams.

The platform, said OneGov founder and CEO William Fish, was intended to shorten research cycles by providing citation-backed analysis and briefing materials within minutes rather than days.
